I have an unlocked iphone version 1.02 and I am curious as to what happens if i was to go into the general settings on the iphone and did a reset> erase all settings and content. It will erase all data and media but would this undo the unlock? Is this something I should avoid at all cost? The reason I asked is that I bought the unlocked iphone for my wife and she likes to play with every setting on the phone and then give it back to me to fix. Can she screw up the unlock from the phone?? Thnxs

Resetting is fine, won't undo the lock. It just removes settings and anything you've added content-wise. that's my experience so I can't guarantee it but it worked for me without a hitch.

I can confirm that a full reset does not remove the unlock on a 1.1.2.

One thing it does do that is a pain, it deletes the install history in Installer. So uninstall apps before you resest if you want your iPhone to be totally clean when you reboot. Otherwise you will have to remove leftover apps manually.
