I just finished unlocking/jailbreaking my iPhone so that I can sell it on eBay and my itunes synced with this hacked iPhone.

So my question is, when I get the new iPhone 3G and I hook it up to itunes it will sync it with the last back up right? So will it try to put the back up of the hacked iPhone onto the new one? Will this mess up the phone? am I safer if I just write down all the contacts and info off my old phone, buy the new one, and manually put everything back in?

Thanks!

no. itunes wont try to rehack the new iphone. it only keeps your contacts and settings remembered. not the firmware you were using. If that were the case everyone who bought a new 3G and plugged it into their computer would have itunes try to revert it to 1.1.4 instead of 2.0
