Hey, guys, got a quick question:

I'm planning on upgrading to the iPhone 4 and selling my 3GS. However, before I sell the 3GS I want to get it replaced by Apple (still under original warranty obviously, plus I have AppleCare on it) since it has some very light cracking in the plastic and a faulty magnetometer. I don't actually use the magnetometer so it hasn't been enough of a pain to get me to get it replaced myself, but I don't want to sell it in less-than-perfect condition. I'm wondering if I need to wait to upgrade until after I get the 3GS replaced? I would like to get the 4 on day one, but can't get to a genius bar until like a week later. Will I even be able to show them the issues with my 3GS if it's no longer activated with my number? Will the magnetometer operate without a GPS connection? Any advice would me much appreciated. (I suppose I can wait until I can get to an actual Apple store, get the phone replaced, then buy a 4 right after, but . . . gah I don't want to wait!)
