Hello All,

So I'm getting the iPhone 4 on launch day through o2.'

My mum gets free upgrades, as she's on a really high tariff and gives them to me. But im only on pay and go.

So o2 are saying that iPhone is only available to existing customers, who are looking to upgrade.

That's all and well, as they'll be more iPhones going around for the existing customers, and i know as my mums upgrading she'll get one alright, but how will that affect me when I have to get my number transferred over to a micro sim, I'm quite wary of this, as i don't want to be stuck with an iPhone and no sim.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Shouldn't affect you at all, just go on the o2 website now and request a micro sim.

I also heard that o2 will be switching numbers from sim to micro sim in store if you walk in and ask them to, but I can't remember where I read that.

You can always call o2 or email them, they are likely to have a more accurate answer than anyone here.

Thanks, good to have as piece of mind,

I've been told if im really stuck i can also just cut my old sim down,

Im not sure if this is 100% safe though.

Thanks for the help.
