iPod touch Question about using iPod Touch and AirPlay

If I have the newest iPod Touch sitting on a dock that is then connected to a stereo receiver, will I be able to stream music from my iMac to the iPod Touch to have it play through the receiver?

I'm asking because I was about to buy an Airport Express to hook up to the stereo to do just that, but I was wondering if I can accomplish the same thing with a Touch once AirPlay was released?

no you can't send the music from the computer through the ipod to the speakers.

what you can do is with an airport express connected to the speakers, then you can use the apple remote app on the ipod to control the music on the computer and send it to the speakers.

or you can send the music from the ipod from the ipod.app through airplay to the airport express to play on the speakers.
