i hope I'm posting in the correct forum...

i was talking with some friends about the shiny new macbook and how pissed i was that i had just recently bought one of the old ones. somebody commented on how if an ipod under warrantee breaks and a new generation had been released, they simply replace it with the newer generation model.

i was wondering if they would do this with a severely wrecked Macbook, just replace it with the newer model for free. i have the extended applecare plan, so im covered until 2011. also, how would a person go about messing up a Mac so bad it could not be salvaged, but still have it fall under the warrantee.

any help would be appreciated, i doubt i'd go through with it, because i've gotten quite fond of Maccy here :D
at this point its just curiosity.

thanks!
