My screen on my 3GS has a nasty little scratch in it. I'd like to take it to apple and pay them to swap the screen. But the device is jailbroken. I'd like to keep it that way...

Do u guys think I need to restore the phone to factory to have them work on it?

Will it matter? Or my other idea would be to bring it in w a dead battery and just ask they swap the screen.

What do u guys think?

Going to apple is more convenient. Unless I can conjure up the courage to just do it myself.

Anyways, I think there is a Cydia app called poof which makes the phone appear stock. I just don't feel like jumping through hoops... The phone Is just right from the software end. I've taken the phone in before for case cracks and they did not hook it up to the computer or inspect the software but at the time it was stock.

well ive decided to give this a go myself, what have i got to lose...

can anyone recommend a specific source (link) where they got a new front screen kit for their 3GS?

i googled it, the internet is littered with them...

just need a recommendation...
