Lets say I wanted to set my iTunes library to run off of music on my external hard drive. Would that tend to overheat or harm the external hard drive? I am using an Acomdata USB 2.0 hybrid drive. Thanks!

I think it would be fine. I would argue that external hard drive often run cooler just because of the fact that they are external.

Yeah, it'll be cool. Haha, geddit? Anyway, just make sure your drive is mounted before opening iTunes each time or it'll revert back to your internal drive and things'll get a little confusing for you. To open different music libraries from within iTunes, hold OPTION when you start the app up. This should help you when it comes time to transfer the library or if you have ever accidentally reverted back to the internal drive. :)
