Question concerning message notification

Every time i am on my messages on my iphone, a notication appears on the bottom left of my MacBook pro screen. I am attaching an image of it... What should I do turn this off?

Go to System Preferences > General. Near the bottom, turn off "Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices."
