Just bought 4S and love it and I have couple questions regarding Find my iPhone.

1. Do I need to install Find my iPhone apps from the store?
I browsed Apps store and I found Find my iPhone apps. I don't see any Find my iPhone icon on the home screen, but if I login to icloud.com from PC, I can locate where my phone at. Do I still need to install this apps on 4S?

2. Supposed somebody stole my phone then the thief immediately delete my iCloud account from the phone. In this case, am I still able to locate my phone thru find my iPhone at iClouds - can I assume the phone is gone then?

What is the best way to set up security on 4S?

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4s)

Sign up for iCloud and switch it on then put a pass code lock on your phone! Simple

^^thats what I'd do. iCloud.com will help you get that set up on the phone. Mine has find my iPhone all set, with a pass code lock on it to begin with.

The find my iphone app is for finding other iDevices other than the one its installed on. You obviously know where that is because your holding it :)
