when using air display with your ipad do you lose your original display resolution. im using splashtop remote and im curious if air display functions the same way. i have to use 1024x768 stretched on my laptop instead of 1280x800 when the ipad is connected. also there seems to be no way for me to shut the lid of my laptop and just use the ipad display in splashtop. can you do that in air display?

AirDisplay makes the iPad work as a second monitor, so it can be a different resolution than the main screen. I think it would work fine with the lid closed, but don't have things set up so I can test it now.

ok thanks for the info. splashtop cuts off the connection when you close the lid. so im still wondering if that happens in air display if anyone knows. Id really like to run it with the lid closed.
