Hey guys! I'm a long-time reader of MacRumors and the forums, first time user here
. Anyway, I have a 4th Gen. iPod Touch that I used mainly for games and music and use a dumbphone to make calls. I mostly rely on it to facetime my family outside the country. I will be getting a 32GB iPhone 5 (Really excited, it's my first iPhone!) in a couple off weeks once Apple begins selling the factory unlocked version, and my question was, since the new iPhone has a longer aspect ratio (16:9 vs. 3:2 on the iPod Touch/iPhone 4S) will Facetime calls with older devices have black bars on each side? Kind of like how apps that are not yet updated for the iPhone 5 have black bars around them?. Or will the image be simply cropped to fill the space?? Also, have any of you used the iPhone and Airplay Mirroring on the Apple TV? I own the 3rd Generation model, and I love it! How is the quality? Does it show true 16:9 when using it in landscape?
Thanks guys in advance!
