Hey hey. It's been real hard finding a great blue-ish color case for the coming 16 series. I'm actually interested in the new Apple silicone case in ultramarine as that blue hits hard.

For those that own the Apple silicone case for the 15 or 16, can you help me answer something: how squishy are the edges of the case on the left and right of the screen?

Something that drives me nuts (OCD?) about some cases is how soft they are on the sides of the screen. So for instance, if I'm swiping left/right on the screen and my finger hits the case, I hate it when my finger pushes the edge of case away from the phone. Know what I mean?

Obviously a lot of cases have this issue (e.g. most silicone cases from Amazon all-stars), but other cases do not have this issue as much (such as the excellent Nomad leather cases - they have very rigid sides).

Would love to hear from owners on this, admittedly, maybe minor thing but it's a big deal for my usage. :D <3

Haven’t used one recently, but the silicone case I purchased for my 16 pro max feels like the rest, you shouldn’t have a problem. If you do you can always return it.

I have a Apple silicon case for my 11Pro and I don’t feel it is squishy. In fact I like it because it’s not slippery in my hand.

Just got the new 16 Pro clear Apple case and the new open bottom design is what I like - easier to swipe up.

I wish the top was opened up too as I do swipe top down.

Don't swipe sideways much.

Apple Silicone cases are my go to case. Nothing third party came close their firmness and quality. Although I find the Apple case chips more frequently than third party softer cases however I appreciate its comfort and fit and finish better.

I don’t like the “squish” either, and my wife comments that I am so picky about my cases. I have three Apple silicone cases for the 15 Pro Max and none of them are squishy. In fact, they are the best fitting cases I have owned— and I am a case guy. 😆

I’ve had the silicone case on my IPhone 15PM from day one and it’s not squishy. My only complaint is that it picks up a lot of lint.

I don't mind the Apple Silicone cases and do not find them to be squishy, the problem I have is after about 10 months or so of use they tend to get that kinda sticky / tacky feel to them regardless of keeping them clean, etc..

I have several Apple silicone cases for my 14 Pro and I swear by them. The edges are quite stout - never a problem with the fit or finish and just the right amount of grippiness for me.

How rough are you with your phone? No problem with peeling? Dropped the phone before?

Those of you who are saying the Apple silicone cases are the best fitting cases really need to try some good third party cases. Apple cases in my experience are among the worst fitting ironically. They're too loose. The sides aren't "squishy" in the way OP describes, but the corners aren't as tight as some other third party cases.

The worst part is how much dust and fingerprints the silicone attracts. It's not a good material for a phone case.

I'm not rough on it, but I have dropped iPhones. I primarily carry my mobile in a t-shirt pocket and I have found the Apple silicone case offers just enough grip to keep the phone from slipping out if I bend over. Never had one peel, even after a drop put a permanent ding in the case.
