How does it work in terms of pairing two devices together? Do you need to use a special app? Or do the two link together in some other way? The reason for my asking this question is because I'd like to pair two Beats XL speakers together with my iPod Nano, not my iPod Touch... Want to know if this is possible - thanks!

Why would you pair two devices together? You can only listen to one at a time.

First you should have gotten the JBL lol j/k There is a way to connecting them using an AUX cable.

Maybe you can try connecting the two Beats with an aux cable. I doubt if you can pair and play them simultaneously. The way computers work the bluetooth signal can only be sent to one device at a time. When you are finished with one device, then you sync the other.

of course you can pair them wirelessly, that is one of the features of the pill xl. you pair them through NFC by just bringing them close together, you can even pair it with the pill 2.0, and each speaker acts either as left/right, or is just doubling the output.

the UE boom can also be paired with a second one, but a dedicated app is needed.

you don't pair both speakers to your ipod, but rather one speaker to the ipod and the other speaker to the first speaker.

Awesome! Thanks for answering my question! This is exactly what i was wondering. I'm going to be getting a Beats Pill XL + iPod Nano for my mother. The iPod Nano has bluetooth so she'll be able to use it w/ the Beats Pill XL, but the UE Boom, like you mentioned, requires an app to pair two. Glad to see that the Pill XL has the two devices pair directly with each other!
