I have the iPad 3. I am really interested in the iPad mini mostly because of the size. But I see it has iPad 2 specs, I've never owned a iPad 2.

My iPad 3 seems to run a little sluggish (sometimes) while running a lot of apps but I've read it is because of the retina display. So now I am questioning if the iPad 2 is laggy at moments ? or rarely happens? I want a explanantion of the ipad 2 performance.

I don't want to buy a device that's way slower and sluggish than my already (sorta) slow iPad 3, I've felt like this more after I got my iPhone 5.

I previously owned the 1 and the 2. When I had the 2 I didn't notice any lag from it. All I did with it was web browsing, light gaming, email, that kind of thing. I really liked my iPad 2.

How about a lot of tabs open in safari ? Did they manage to stay open or starter loading them when having lots of them open? I use it for browsing a lot also.
