Question for lightning dock owners

I. Looking at getting a lightning dock, but have a question for those of you that own an aluminum one. Does the bottom of the phone rest against the aluminum of the dock? I'm just wondering if I'd have to worry about scratches from the aluminum rubbing against the phone. I like the look of the black dock best but feel like the wood one might be less likely to scratch the phone.

I don't think anybody's gotten one yet. I ordered my hardwood one on the 3rd, so I'm hoping for it to ship this week or early next week.
