with the speakers setup the way it is on the MBP do you guys get any sound when using it in clamshell with an external display? I'm just curious, i would think that having the notebook closed it would drown out the speakers rendering them useless for use with external display. Or maybe i'm wrong.
 
You're suppose to use external speakers when you're using just an external monitor in clamshell mode.
 
well with the macbook the speakers on the back so you can still hear them just the same, and you dont really need externals if you dont want to. thats why i was curious
