iPad mini Question for mini users

Hi, I notice on my mini that where the front of the mini meets the side the area is more pronounced, after holding it there my thumb feels sore. It feels like it's a sharp edge. Is this something anyone else has noticed or is mine just flawed?

Flaw. Same happens with my iPhone. Haven't gotten around to go exchange it.
