Question for people using the Otterbox Defender 5S

Hello..I recently bought an Otterbox Defender for the 5S, and was wondering if for anyone else who owns one if it is a really tight fit when putting their phone in? Mine is so tight it is hard to get in and rubs on the sides,to get it out is really tight also..I did notice a little black 'scratch' on the top of phone..I am just wondering if this is normal for people or if something is wrong with my case, my defender for the iphone 5 used to be really loose, to much room actually..thanks for any help!
