this is a question for the people who originally had a 1st generation iPod Touch and then upgraded to the 2nd generation iPod Touch. i have a 1G but i'm thinking about getting a new one. my question is, can you put a back up from the 1G onto a new 2G? i have a bunch of calendar events, notes, bookmarks, etc. that i don't feel like typing it all back in and i don't have a mac so no iCal or anything like that. also my 1G has emoji within the backup and since Apple is banning it from the app store the backup will be my only way to get it without jailbreaking.

Yup, the backup from my 1G worked just fine on the 2G. :)
