I have decided to keep my 42mm WSB and return my 38mm SS BCB. If I take the watch to an Apple store, do I have to go online first and print out a return label, or do I just need to pack it up and show the original packing list (that has my order number on it) to the store people?

Note: I do not wish to sell the watch.

Thanks!

Just pack it up and take it in. They will scan it and it will bring all your info up and that's it your done.

Have the invoice ready on your phone, bring the watch and the original payment card(Not so sure about this, I would bring it to be safe).

So, do the Apple stores just send them back? It would be nice if they'd sell resell them.

The law in many country's prohibits this practice

+1 Yep, once it's been opened by the customer, it can't be sold as new.

Most returns go into warranty replacement stock (provided they pass inspection and are still "like new")

Those that aren't will be broken down into the components that can be used for repairs.

I actually asked a specialist what they do with returned watches, he said they have to send it back(maybe the factory?), and perhaps disassembled and refurbished.

Just got back from returning the watch. They were able to scan the barcode on the box and credit me (although I think the guy who did it was fairly new, as he had a puzzled look on his face for a few minutes, and scanned it a few times.) They did a direct refund to my credit card without even seeing the card. The manager had to approve the return, and when he came over, he said "Now why would you want to return that watch?" I peeled up my sleeve and showed him my 42mm WSB, and he said "Oh....cool!" :)

BTW, anyone in the Denver area reading this...they don't have spare bands at Park Meadows. (I wanted a black sport band, so I ordered it online.)
