I bought my series 5 around about when it came out and it was brand new.

I have it at 100% when I go to bed and wear it throughout the night with it on Sleep Mode. Usually when I wake up it's on around 79%. In the last few days it's been around 55% and I've not done anything different to it lately.

Any series 5 owners notice their battery dropping lately? TIA.

Not lately, but when my series 5 was about a year old it slipped from a battery health of 93% to 86% almost overnight. Shortly thereafter I had to turn off the "always on display" or recharge the watch during the day. My battery health eventually slipped to 82%, but after updating the watch to OS 8 it came back to 86% and that is where it stands now. I no longer use the "always on display" and get much better battery life.

I bought my Series 5 at launch and the battery was fine until about six to eight months ago. I noticed then that it was not holding a charge for as long as it use to and was probably holding about 20-30% less. I had to charge it a lot sooner each day.

Apart from the fact that I had skipped the Series 6 and 7 and wanted to get the Ultra as it’s a significant upgrade plus the degradation in the Series 5 battery was an incentive too. So I’ve kept the Series 5 but also have an Ultra now.

Mine still easily gets me through the day, so I haven’t really noticed if the leftover % at the end of the day has been slipping. I just checked the health and it says 92%. Hoping it will at least get me through to when the series 9 comes out… and honestly it still does everything I need it to so I would even consider replacing the battery and using it until Apple stops providing software support.

My watch battery health percentage is 91%. Is that about right for a series 5 watch?

Mine is @ 82% and has held there since the most recent watch OS update. Before that it was 81%. Might not hurt just to restart the watch.

Great minds think alike! I restarted my watch earlier after I charged it and it's holding charge better than it was. It's strange because I always restart it after an update.

My series 5 did the exact same thing. 100% at bedtime, high 70s in the morning. Then out of nowhere a few days ago mid 50s in the morning.
Seems to be losing 10% per hour during the day.
Will try a restart and see if it makes a difference.

Well after my restart yesterday I charged it to 100% before putting it on before bedtime and this morning I woke up and it's at 80%. So the restart worked. Thank you to everyone who helped.

I had to reset my series 5, restarting didn’t work. Resetting was a pain, but 22 hours later my watch is still at 33%.
I haven’t got a clue why the battery drain was so bad so sudden, as it was fine after to initial update to 9.1, but at least it’s ok now.

Yeah don't know. Luckily mine has been ok since the restart.
