I signed with 02 in July for an 18 month contract, on their website it states that I can upgrade to the iphone without paying anything to get out of my existing contract so long as I sign up for 18 months, have I read this right? Surely 02 must be losing some money by doing this, it seems to good to be true?

You pay nothing and get to keep your old phone.its true, you don't have to pay a penny to move contracts, but be aware it will run for 18months from activation, it wont amend your plan from July, it will cancel it altogether and start a fresh with the iPhone plans.
god, I had convinced myself I wasn't going to get one as I didn't want two contracts now I am seriously tempted argh! I had thought about buying a touch but think the phone would be a better deal, plus have a relatively new sony p1i available to sell!
Most definitely not. They will be making lorryloads of dosh with their iPhone tariffs!
