Question - iPhone3G/3GS Canadian Users (Alberta - Edmonton)

So i am currently using the iPhone3GS, and over the past week or so i have noticed that i am getting 3G reception all over the city right now, but the thing that is bugging me the most is that data speeds aren't even able to hit 1mbps.

Am i the only one having this issue, or are others in the Edmonton area having the same issue?
Just want input from the many iPhone3G(s) users in the city.
