Question: Jailbreaking and unlocking a 3GS 3.1.3 with baseband 5.13.03

Hi

I'm new to the whole jailbreaking and unlocking thing. I have the opportunity to buy this afternoon an iPhone 3GS with OS 3.1.3 and baseband 5.13.03. I'll need to unlock the carrier (I don't mind staying at 3.1.3)

Is there as of today some sn0w/ra1n or anything else that can update it to the latest hacked firmware/basebands?

I've been reading on the matter, but haven't really found any definite answer about whether the iphone is in a loop it can be hacked out of or not.

stay away from Sn0wbreeeze imo Iclarified has all the tutorials you need to jailbreak and unlock info is there. google it!

With the iPhone 3GS on 3.1.3 you can use Spirit to jailbreak. The jailbreak will be an untethered version. Then once jailbroken, unlock with ultrans0w from Cydia.
