Question mark folder problem

My MacBook pro froze so I turned it off and when I turned it back on, a folder with a question mark came up and was blinking. I tried to press option when turning it on but only the mouse cursor comes up and nothing else, not even the folder. Is there anything else I can do?

I tried all except CD option, I can't find my installation cd

You can call Apple to order replacement discs. It's a good idea to keep your install discs handy for various troubleshooting situations.

Do you have lion installed? Hold the option key as soon as you press the power button and see what options are available.
