I have just purchased a 1TB external hard drive to hold all my video work :D. Now I need to move all the necessary files (I’m using Final Cut Express) from my Mac to the external drive . Could someone be so kind as to tell me exactly what files I need to move, where they are located (what folders) and how to set Final Cut Express to reference those moved files .

Thank you ever so much,

Scott

I use FCE & FCP and all my docs are stored on the one location on my iMac - Documents. I also had to move these folders a little while back and all you do to re-load them is open the project, and you should be greeted by a message saying that FC is unable to locate the required files.

From here, you are able to just re-direct FC to where you have now stored them. Easy.

Well, this worked for me anyway. :)

Regards

Kenny
