i picked up an iphone saturday and am loving it coming from a treo 755p. my question is this: i was wondering if incoming texts count against my monthly 1500? i remember reading somewhere that at&t does not charge for incoming texts. any answers are appreciated. thanks guys!

yes its counts basicly you can send 750 and recieve 750

You don't get 750 in AND 750 out. You get 750 in and out TOTAL, i.e, 1 in, 749 out would delete your monthly allowance just as 200 in and 550 out.

Thanks for the answers. One more question: Does anyone know how long I have to port my number over to at&t(fees from at&t)? I kept my Sprint treo 755p active just in case. Thanks again!

yes, but the OP stated he has the 1500 text plan, so it's some combination of 1500 messages in and out total - 1499 in and 1 out, or 1325 out and 175 in, or whatever numbers your heart desires as long as they add up to 1500...

but he has a 1500 txt plan, so in essence, if he wanted to cut it evenly, he could send 750 and receive 750, or any combination thereof to equal 1500.

edit: darn, r6girl beat me to it :(
