Hello everyone, this is my first post and I just want to say hello to everyone and I hope to be active on this forum.
Anyway I was wondering off the possibility of an app that uses photo recognition to create an easy to use encyclopedia such as the previously created Leafsnap. I understand this was created by scientist and I was wondering if a single person or group of people could create an app like this whether it be plants, rocks, fossils ect... Also could the photo recognition be used at a distance. I myself dont have much app experience so I was wondering if it would be even possible to be done before I either ventured on the project or had someone do it for me.
