question on activation on old iphone

im having a problem trying to activate my old iphone for my daughter, i gave her my 2g iphone when i bought the new one, i did a restore to set it back to all the original facotry settings. however when we plug it into her computer it goes right to the sync screen and not the activation screen. what do i have to do to get this phone activated for her??? thanks

put in her old SIM card, go to preferences in iTunes and disable auto sync or whatever..and then put it in, connect it, and if the SIM card is working without connecting to iTunes, then you got a problem..lol
