When i purchased my iphone last year, it marked the 1st time i ever took out apple care. But what happens if something goes wrong with my iphone 3g after a new iphone comes out? Do i get a new iphone or does apple replace it with the 3g's still?

Infact, how does this work with any apple product if you take out the apple care and a new product comes out that replaces your current product?

works only on the direct product..

for example,

if you buy an expensive macbook, it gets messed up and it's covered, but a macbook pro is the same price, you can't get a mbp.. you get the macbook..
