If you unlock via ultrasn0w or gevey, make sure you only get to 5.0.1 via a custom IPSW!
I have an default unlock iphone set (non-US), does it mean that I can use itunes to upgrade to 5.0.1 and then use redsnow to jailbreak? (instead of downloading the firmware from website and use custom IPSW).
just for curiousity:
1) If I upgrade to 5.0.1 using itunes, does it mean my baseband will be upgraded to 04.11.08? Is that OK, given I have an default unlocked set?
2) Does it mean I dont have to care about baseband ever if my iphone is an unlocked set?
