When I get a call or text I don't want and I block it. Does the caller know they are blocked. And if they are blocked can you send them a text telling them they are blocked. Or how do you know that they are really blocked.

Their call will just ring and go to voicemail. Their messages will just get sent but never delivered.

Correct.
And if they leave you a voice message you will not receive it at all.
And no they will not know you blocked them.
Unless you tell them yourself before you do it.
I believe you won't be notified of the voicemail but you could still access it in a special folder in your voicemail if you want to.

What folder and how would you acess it?
It's not even listed or displayed when I go to visual voicemail. And I don't even know if they left me a voicemail either.

Some articles/threads mentioned that they would be in "Blocked Messages" section at the bottom of Visual Voicemail list of items. Others said it might not be the case but you can see them if you unblock the user (momentarily even).
