Why does the second hand not move on the chronograph face? I thought this was a bug on my watch, but I've noticed that the second hand is at the "12" in all pictures.

There's a small inner dial that shows the seconds. The "big" second hand is supposed to be the chronometer's hand.

Don't have my watch yet, but if that's true that's a real bummer was looking forward to that face. Does the second hand work in any other face?

It's for a stop watch (on the default chronography face its the top right 'complication').

It will move if you start the stop watch.

Yes it works on all other faces. - on that face it's a stop watch measure.

Yes, the second hand works in all of the faces. As xraydoc mentioned, the chronograph face is functioning properly. The big hand is for the chronometer and it moves when the stopwatch is started. There is a small inner hand that works as the second hand.

Awesome thanks for the info!
