Question on jailbreak purchases

I'm new to jailbreaking and I wanted to know if I bought an app from cydia on my iPod touch, will I be able to download it and use it on my iPhone? I want to test some apps on my iPod until I can jailbreak my iPhone 4S. I won't have the apps running on both devices if that changes anything?

This is not entirely accurate, you need to check on the developers website and in the licenses type on cydia before purchasing, while this apply to almost 98% of the app on Cydia, some app licenses are limited per device while some other have a limit on the amount of devices you can install it
