question on jailbreaking iPhone 3gs once 4s is activated

So I was just thinking about this and now, I'm not really sure what to do. I have my 4s preordered and it should be coming in in about 2 weeks so in the meantime, I have my 3gs. My friend who has t-mobile wants it so the question is. Will I still be able to jailbreak the 3gs on iOS5 once someone figures it out or will my 3gs be useless once I activate the 4s? Will the old sim that's in my 3gs be enough to turn the iPhone on and allow me to jailbreak it or should I just stay on 4.x and not take the chance? BTW, my 3gs is already jailbroken from jailbreakme.com.

Can your 3GS be unlocked so that your friend can use it on T-mo? Yeah u should be able to JB ios5 once it becomes public.

What I'm trying to ask is: once I activate my 4s, will I still have access to the 3gs in order to jailbreak it or will it be stuck in recovery mode? I sold him my 2g and unlocked it for him when I got the 3gs.

It won't dis-activate anything, well just the service, but everything will be the same.
