i had an ipod touch wif version of 1.1.4
i tried to follow the mac guide on installing Ziphone on my pc...
when i'm trying to unzip the file, the system told me that i nid to install a
.net framework of version 2.0.50727...

nid some help form pros...

Well here's a tip, update to 2.0 or 2.1 or 2.2...

You're using caveman firmware. Also you probably won't get errors jailbreaking the later firmwares.

(it says 3.5 SP1, but it will solve that error that pops up on your machine)

Did you download the 2.2 for the 1ST GEN ipod touch?

Retry it. I was also downloading from that felixbruns site thingy. Apple's servers were down for a bit.

I tried downloaded 2.2 from that site last night. The file downloaded alright, but it was basically a folder with several things in there including three .dmg disk images. None of them would mount, and none of the other folders had an ipsw file in them. What exactly am I supposed to do with that folder?

Download Firefox 3 and use it to download the file. You should then have an ipsw. Otherwise, look in your trash for the .zip file with the same name, and drag it out. Then, rename the .zip to .ipsw, and that should do the trick.

I think that the way iTunes downloads it and unzips the file is different from the way Safari and Firefox unzip the file when the download completes. I tried downloading from both browsers with the same results.

Downloading it with Firefox worked. Thanks guys. Now I can attempt to jailbreak it on the windows side of my computer, since DFU mode is broken and I don't have a USB hub with me. After jailbreaking it, I can continue to sync it in OS X right?
