This may not be the best place to ask this, but maybe you guys can help. I normally try to avoid using Word but I need to submit a resume using it. Have you ever seen those brackets that surround some text after you select it, they don't show up if you look at the Print Preview. And you can't just delete them. I'm not sure what their purpose is. Do you know how to get rid of them?

Can you elaborate a little more please.

I'm not sure how else to explain which is why it's hard to find any information on it. If you select some text or delete text surrounding it, sometimes it will then have brackets around it that you can't delete (they're not regular characters as they don't print). I don't know if it's some kind of proofreading tool or something. Maybe someone is familiar with this.

By the way, I'm using Word v.X for Mac
