I'm out of my contract and i'm using hardware unlock on my 3G iPhone from the USA. Lets say i use T-Mobile or AT&T prepaid(i dont care), what happens with the phone number? I wont have the original number that i had from the contract right? Is the prepaid card going to give me a new number? How will i keep that number after my minutes are up and i need more minutes.

You'll get a new number and be able to keep that # as long as you renew your minutes each month. Once you stop renewing you lose that # and need to sign up again and will be given another #. (I believe theres a 15 or 30 day grace period in which you can re-sign and claim your # back).
