When preordering on apple.com, do i get an instant notification if i am lucky enough to get an iphone day1?

When preordering on apple.com, do i get an instant notification if i am lucky enough to get an iphone day1?

In the past, the order summary has said something like "delivered on [release date]" if you are day 1 and something more normal like "ships in 1-2 weeks if you are not.

I think this has changed in the middle of ordering for some people, but it has never happened to me so I can't comment.

Does somebody know within what time the devices were sold? Maybe within an hour?
