Question on Searching for files? simple?

If I search for "limewire" by hitting apple f (find) and I delete all the files it finds (to garbage). I thought all the "limewire files would be off my computer but the other day I was looking around in Users>Library>Preferences and there is a limewire folder still there? How come it didnt show up in the search? Is these a program that will find these files? I don't want adult files on my computer and they appear to be gone but now im not so sure? can someone please assist me. thanks
