Hello everyone,

A question on fast charging – will it affect the long-term battery health of my series 7 if I regularly use the new fast charging usb-c cable?

Given that my apple watch batteries always degrade their health quickly (as I use my watch a lot, sleep and exercise with it every day), I am worried about damaging my series 7 even faster. For example, my series 6 which I bought last year on launch day has currently 88% health.

My question – Should I just keep using my old usb-a cable to charge my series 7 (unless I need a fast charge, e.g., before bed)? Do any of you have a similar concern with battery health?

I think micromanaging my battery charging habits is not worth the stress. I know that I'm going to have to replace my battery at some point no matter what I do, so why bother adjusting my life around how I charge my devices? I'd rather just use my devices the way I want to use them and change the battery whenever it's time.

How much extra time am I going to get out of a battery if I only ever slow charge, only ever charge to 80%, etc? A month? Two months? Meh. I'd rather just not worry about it.
