Yeah, I know, everyone's talking about the iPhone 6 (justifiably so), but I got a question about an iPhone 5 and unlocking with AT&T.
Here's the situation:
Me: got an Android phone that's not under contract and I no longer use. I'm with T-Mobile.
Him: got an iPhone 5 under contract until the beginning of December (a little more than 2 months from now). He's with AT&T.
We want to swap our phones. But I'm wondering; if he gets my phone and pops his SIM in it, will I then be able to unlock his iPhone 5?
I have his phone number, and he'll provide AT&T with his SSN if needed. It's a friend, not some eBay stranger.
It's not a huge deal if we have to wait (it's just 2 months after all), but it'd be nice if we can swap now, is all
