Question on widgets

HI all, I have a question about the weather widgets (that may apply to other widgets). I have tried about 5 of them, and they seem very spotty to update. Often I swipe to view them and the temp is clearly old; I have to tap them which brings up the app and the temp gets updated. For that work, I may as well just keep tapping the app itself on my Home Screen, it's actually quicker. Are these just not working well yet, or is this the best that they are able to do given some iOS architecture issue?

The widgets are not allowed to continuously update. What you are seeing is the built in limitation of the OS. I believe the refresh is 5 - 15 minutes.

I've also seen in the update notes for many apps 'widgets will update more frequently'. So I think developers are still working through how best to implement widgets.
