I'm curious if the new watchfaces that come with watchOS 9 (Especially "Metropolitan") are compatible with the Apple Watch 4 5 6 and SE, since they have slightly smaller screen than the AW 7.

(So, anyone who install the BETA on those models ...)

(To be honest, I always feel like Apple is extremely lazy with watchfaces, so it wouldn't surprise me if they decided that even though nothing really prevent these new face to be adapted to older watches (just make them a tiny bit smaller), they would not bother.)

Where does it clearly say that? As far as I saw it says that watchos 9 is available for Series 4 and up, but nothing about which watch faces will be fully compatible with older watches.

Read under the "availability" heading.. I copy and pasted the wrong article. My mistake..

It clearly states that all new watch faces are available on S4 and newer watches. Has nothing to do with screen size...
It doesn't really "say" that.

However, idk where Macrumors took those watchfaces pictures (Media kit ?) but the pictures show the thick border of the Apple Watch 4 to 6, which is a very good thing.

EDIT : Just saw your last post. Thanks !

Thanks so much. I checked a number of different articles from other sites but never saw the answer. This is really great. I like the look of the Metropolitan and the new Astronomy.
