In 10.8 Apple finally allowed linking contacts from different accounts/groups instead of having duplicates listed in "All Contacts". Example, in "All Contacts" you would have listed doubles, each contact would be for a different group/account. Now, one contact appears and in the contact information it lists the accounts it is linked to.

I have synced my Facebook contacts, and some were already in my iCloud. I cleaned up each contact by removing the manually added info and just kept the info Facebook supplies which is not editable from the Contacts app. I've linked the contacts to my iCloud account as well. However, if I delete redundant contact information and just keep the info provided by Facebook, I notice it comes back and I'm concerned that data may need to be duplicated inside each contact, as one has the Facebook "f" next to it and the other is from linking the contacts.

Should I leave the data alone in each contact? Will it show up duplicated in iCloud and Facebook in Contacts? So confusing.
