in earlier editions of iTunes, I was able to do this more easily - now in the current iteration (12.5.42) it's somewhat more tricky.
Is there anyway to use iTunes itself to tell me where the central database file is - the XML?
It's normally (but not always, I don't think) in
Users / MY NAME / Music / iTunes
but I have a bunch of XML files ... I guess the easiest was is generally to see which XML file is dated today, but I was hoping there was a way to do it from within iTunes itself.
(and now there are some database-y looking files with extensions like ".itl" and ".itdb" - not sure what those are for.)
Thanks for any suggestions!
