I'm trying to set up my gmail account with Mail and it is importing every single one of my archived messages verrrrrry slowly (like five at a time). I click "Get New Mail" and it imports another five messages. All I want is to be able to view my new emails. How can I fix this? Thanks!

Are you using POP or IMAP to connect to GMail? I have no idea why it is importing your messages 5 at a time like that, but my theory is that you have set it up as POP when you wanted IMAP, or IMAP when POP would suit you better.
