My rMBP originally came with Lion and I upgraded it to ML. I recently did a fresh install by first erasing and reformatting the hard drive and then by installing ML from the secret petition on the laptop (restarting and holding down command and "R" and then selecting the installation of ML). My question is whether the version of ML installed is the same thing as a fresh copy of ML purchased from the App Store (i.e., not an upgrade to Lion), or is it reinstalling ML on top of Lion as an upgrade to Lion? I know it's a bit of a silly question, but I was just wondering if anyone knows.

I'm not entirely certain, but I know that when I upgraded my MBA I think it created a new recovery partition, so if in fact that is the case, I would expect that it would be a clean install... But then again, I could be wrong..., that happens from time to time
