I'm currently running Mac OS and Windows 7 (BootCamp) on a 2.3GHz, 16GB, 256GB rMBP. While changing the screen resolution in Windows, I notice that there's a brief (and relatively quiet) 'clicking' sound as the screen switches over and the backlight shining through the Apple logo on the back of the rMBP monitor blinks off and back on. The same does not happen under Mac OS and I'm thinking in Windows, power is fully cut from the screen briefly as the resolution is changed. Your thoughts? Can anyone else replicate this issue? In your view, would you consider it something to do with a Windows installation on a MacBook (any variety) or something more specific to the hardware in the rMBP? Thanks for any feedback.
